Our Team

  • Ciara - Manager

Manager, Level 6, SENCO, DSL, Paediatric First Aid Trained, Squirrel Key Group Leader.

I began working in Childcare in 2018 and have since completed a BA Honours Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies; Psychology and Education. I enjoy managing the Pre School as I have a natural rapport with the children and feel we can make a positive impact on their lives. It is an incredible experience to watch all our little learners grow and flourish within the Pre-School.

In my spare time I adore cuddles with our little French Bull Dog Rodney! I also love to drag my husband around a garden centre or to do some well earned retail therapy!.

  • Jenna- Deputy Manager

Deputy Manager, Level 3, Deputy SENCO, Secondary DSL, Pediatric First Aid Trained, Owl Key Group Leader.

I began my career in Childcare in 2009 and fell in love.

I enjoy learning new ways to encourage children to learn and fulfil their full potential, each excelling in their own unique way! I make it my priority to develop positive relationships with our parents/carers to encourage smooth transitions and ensure the whole preschool experience is one of joy!

I have brought up four of my own beautiful children, I love to share a cozy night in watching films, with lots of popcorn or out exploring the local areas with our two doggies, Belle (French Bulldog) and Poppy ( Labrador).

  • Janice - Early Years Assistant

Early Years’ Practitoner Level 2. Paediatric First Aid Trained, Badger Key Group Leader.

I first joined Bovingdon Pre School in 1996, since then I have seen many children excel and flourish, this as been wonderful. I enjoy helping new children settle into Preschool life and encouraging them to take part in a range of creative activities. I have a real passion for cooking and enjoy creating new dishes for my family. In my spare time, I can most likely be found out in the garden!

  • Salma- early years assistant

    Supporting Badger Key Group.

I have worked with children since 1998, working as a teaching assistant between 2002 - 2004.

I took a career break to raise a family of 4 but have kept busy helping out with the family business. I continue to care for a child with autism, who is a joy to be around.

I then re-started working as a teaching assistant in 2023, which led me onto working here starting as a 1:1 SEN support, which I loved, to becoming a permanent staff member. I enjoy being a part of the pre school team and sharing the precious moments too watching the children grow in a loving and caring environment.

My hobbies include travelling and some sports. At home we have bees, fishes and until recently chickens, who have now found a new home!

  • Laura - Early Years Assistant

Supporting Squirrel Key Group, Currently attending University.

I used to attend Bovingdon Pre School myself when I was younger, after completing my first year at College I was offered a position!

I fell in love with working at the Pre School with the atmosphere, all the wonderful children and the incredible team. I am currently at University studying Education and Psychology in the hopes of becoming an educational psychologist or sports psychologist.

One of my biggest interests is tennis. I started playing tennis when I was around 8 and have fallen in love with the sport ever since. I have started my tennis qualifications in the hope that one day I can coach people to help them to enjoy the sport just like me!

  • Holly - Early Years ASSISTANT

Early Years’ Practitioner Level 3. Paediatric First Aid Trained, supporting Owl Key Group.

I started working in childcare in 2008 and completed my Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development soon after. I have worked in a few different roles for the NHS including being a Nursery Nurse on a children’s ward, within the community and on the Special Care Baby Unit. Since this time I have raised my own three children, when not at the park, or a family day out I like to bake or get lost in a book.

Working at Bovingdon Preschool is equal parts enjoyable and rewarding, I feel privileged to be a part of the children’s lives educating and nurturing them throughout their time at pre school.

  • Julie - Office Administrator
